Meet the ECA’s Newest Member

That’s yours truly, of course. Only I should’ve joined a long time ago.

In case you weren’t already aware, the Entertainment Consumers Association is an advocacy group that “opposes legislative efforts to unconstitutionally restrict access to video games.” Basically, they do their best to ensure that games are just as protected by the First Amendment as film, literature, and music.

Your $19.99 membership fee helps keep them running — the ECA is a grassroots organization, and, as such, remains financially independent from the industry.

Aside from that warm fuzzy feeling that comes from supporting something great, you get scads of stellar swag for joining the ECA. I’m particularly excited about my two free issues of Electronic Gaming Monthly.

Live in the North Carolina Triangle? I’d like to start a regional chapter. Drop a line below if your interested.
